For more about Chris:
My recent work explores the intersection between architecture, geometry, and movement.
Using the structure of geometric forms, I create dynamic compositions that reflect the fluidity and tension found in the built environment. Inspired by architectural design, urban spaces, and the rhythms of daily life, I seek to capture our surroundings—whether the ebb and flow of city life, the stillness of a quiet building, or the transformation of space over time.
I aim to convey not just the visual aesthetics of geometry and architecture, but the emotional resonance these forms evoke. The works invite viewers to engage with the tension between structure and movement, offering new perspectives on the built world and the patterns that govern it.
I’m originally from the south shore of Boston and settled in the Portland area shortly after graduating from Bates College. I have studied at Maine College of Art and Haystack Mountain School in Maine, Art New England Workshops in Vermont, Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Ireland and the Icelandic Printmaking Association in Reykjavik. I have been a member of Peregrine Press since 2005 and am also a member of the Boston Printmakers and the Monotype Guild of New England.
